Project for Hurricane Matthew

November 23, 2016

Palm Beach Gardens, FL —- On November 19th, 2016, Student ACES hosted the first ACE Gives Back Day. This servant leadership day was designed specifically for high school ACE students to learn servant leadership skills, community impact, team building and life lessons that will enable them to be the next generation of leaders.

ACE partnered with Walmart in Delray Beach to collect supplies for those affected by Hurricane Matthew, Haiti needs our continued support. ACE students had been working on collecting items in their schools and on their teams. Saturday morning we witnessed something incredible. Our students, parents, advisors, supporters, and shoppers united in an effort to help. We are proud to announce we filled not only one but two Uhauls full of supplies to send to Haiti through Food for the Poor. In each box there is not only supplies and food but letters of encouragement. We were truly blown away by the outpouring of support to help the less fortunate. “Walmart is proud to sponsor with Student ACES on such a great cause. They are teaching the next generation of leaders to lead by example” Dave Bonutti Store Manager Walmart

As part of the program our students participate in giving back and there is no better way to learn than diving in and making a difference. Student ACES anticipates that this experience will better prepare high school students to become young men and women of integrity that will honorably represent the universities they chose to attend. “The Haiti Relief Drive helped me to focus on helping others instead of myself. I am thankful and appreciative for the life I have been given. My fellow ACE students and I encourage everyone to give back this holiday season!” – Chase Leggio ACE Student

The inspiration for the ACE program is derived from the deep desire to see every student achieve a foundation of leadership that will generate positive outcomes and tremendous success in their life. These young men and women have the unique opportunity to be inspirational and influential in the lives of others. It is the goal of Student ACES to provide the student athletes with a foundation of leadership that will help them to become successful in every walk of life. Thank you to our sponsors: Tire Kingdom, Gardens of Life, Advanced Roofing, ESPN West Palm, Florida Blue, Kitson and Partners, South Florida Ford and Hypower. Student ACES (ACE: Athletics + Community + Education) is a 501(c) 3 organization dedicated to impacting our country by developing the next generation of leaders.
